MTM Newsletter Dec 2021

MONTHLY RECAP

December is a busy time for everyone which was no exception for the MTM team. We wrapped up the end of the year with a variety of activities ranging from Laser tag, Virtual reality escape room and a picnic in Circular Quay. A special shout out to our two community partners this month, Strike Bowling at Chatswood and Virtual Room Sydney for making these events possible. With 2022 right around the corner, we can’t wait to share what we have planned for the new year, in the meantime stay tuned!

A Message from our founder

December is a busy time for everyone which was no exception for the MTM team. We wrapped up the end of the year with a variety of activities ranging from Laser tag, Virtual reality escape room and a picnic in Circular Quay. A special shout out to our two community partners this month, Strike Bowling at Chatswood and Virtual Room Sydney for making these events possible. With 2022 right around the corner, we can’t wait to share what we have planned for the new year, in the meantime stay tuned!

From long lockdowns to late group nights out what year it has been! Reflecting on this year & how far our men have come in creating their own Mates That Matter is a true source of inspiration. The strong friendships secured through what has been such an interesting & not to mention challenging year is something me personally and our team are extremely proud of and look forward to continuing into 2022.

Wrapping up the year we thank you for your continued encouragement, engagement & support & look forward to continuing to help our men create their own Mates That Matter into 2022.

LASER TAG

We kickstarted the month off with a game of laser tag. It was a night of lasers, sweat, stealth & camaraderie. Afterwards the team recovered and treated themselves to chips and water. Thanks again to Strike for giving us the whole place to ourselves A great time with some equally great blokes.

VIRTUAL REALITY ESCAPE ROOM

Our second event was held at a Virtual Reality Escape Room where the team had to save the world by travelling back in time. After fulling levers to shoot barrels with crossbows, fixing the 1969 space shuttle, solving an ancient Egyptian puzzle and defeating a T-Rex and Pterodactyls, the team saved their future and their names will be forever remembered!

PICNIC AT CIRCULAR QUAY

For the last event of the year we met at the Royal Botanic Gardens for a classic end of year catch up with pizza and frisbee to round off 2021. The day didn’t come without its challenges, yet the beating sun & a couple close calls between the road and our frisbee were no match for us lads.
